Florida’s governor is considering vetoing a legislative proposal that could raise the cost of your auto insurance. SB 54 would repeal Florida’s no-fault auto insurance system without addressing much-needed lawsuit abuse reforms, potentially increasing auto insurance costs for consumers, leading to more litigation in our court system and more uninsured motorists on our roads. Under the current proposal, auto insurance costs could skyrocket by as much as 23% or $344 for the average policyholder annually. Some drivers who carry the lowest coverages could see yearly increases as high as $860.
Speak out against this misguided legislation and ask Governor DeSantis to protect Florida drivers from higher auto insurance costs and keep our roads safer. Review and submit your message today!
